After a brief 10-minute drive to Entorn, located at the base of the stunning Ransol Valley Ridge, you’ll begin your hike at 2,000 meters above sea level. From here, ascend 250 meters to Salamandres Lake, home to the small yellow-spotted salamanders that lend the lake its name.

For those looking to push further, an optional challenge awaits—continue your hike up to the Ransol Ridge at 2,500 meters for incredible panoramic views of the Andorran peaks. The rest of the hike will be a gradual descent, passing by the Roca del Home Dret, or the "Rock of the Straight Man," before arriving in the picturesque Incles Valley.

As you make your way to the Incles River, you’ll cross over and follow a gentle path back to the hotel, arriving between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. This provides plenty of time to relax in the sun, explore the village, or unwind at a nearby hotel spa.

Stop at the Port de Canto lookout point to admire the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees. From there, continue to the village of Sort (meaning ‘luck’ in Catalan), where you’ll gear up at the rafting center. After being fitted with wetsuits, helmets, life jackets, and paddles, you’ll embark on an exhilarating 14-kilometer rafting journey down the Noguera River. Known as one of Europe’s top five rivers for rafting, the Noguera offers exciting but manageable rapids with plenty of safe exit points.

The gentle climb zigzags up to the beautiful Cabana Sorda Lake, nestled beneath a striking semi-circular rock amphitheater—an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch.

If the weather is warm enough, you can take a refreshing dip in the chilly mountain waters. Early in the summer, there’s likely to be snow around the lake, while later in the season, you can enjoy a peaceful stroll around the lake or perhaps watch local fishermen catching mountain trout.

This climb has been a staple in the Tour de France and offers spectacular views.
